    Ingredients
    Each tablet contains: Magnesium Hydroxide 400mg, Aluminium Hydroxide-Dried 400mg, Simethicone 30mg
    Dosing guide

    Adults and Children over 12 years:
    1 -2 tablets chewed as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed. A dose may be increased up to 4 tablets if required.

    Stop use after 2 weeks, except on medical advice.
    Cautions

    You should consult your doctor if:

    • You have been taking Mylanta continuously for 14 days Symptoms include: vomiting, blood or coffee grain like material in faeces Before use in children under 12 years of age.
    • Before use if you have kidney disease.

      Caution: Do not take Mylanta within 2 hours of taking any other medication unless advised by your doctor or pharmacist. Mylanta may reduce the effectiveness of some medications. If pregnant, do not exceed the recommended dose unless under medical supervision.

    Common Side Effects

    Occasionally constipation or diarrhoea have been reported, but usually only during high dose therapy. In this circumstance, a small reduction in dosage may often alleviate these symptoms.

    Interactions With Other Medicines

    Do not take Mylanta within two hours of taking any medication for heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, epilepsy, arthritis, gout, bacterial or fungal infection. Mylanta can reduce the effectiveness of these medications. If pregnant, do not exceed the recommended dose unless under medical supervision.
